All Barisan Nasional (BN) which will compete in the general election to the 13th (13th General Elections) free of corruption and crime, said BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor today.
   
He said BN prospect for all 222 parliamentary seats and 505 state seats (Dun) have been through a thorough screening process including the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Insolvency Department to ensure that the candidate is 'clean' and problem-free.
   
"All candidates contesting BN has gone through a thorough screening process," he told reporters after handing over the school, Rela uniform, friendly co-leader and let's eat durian festival here today.
   
Additionally, Tengku Adnan said Umno secretary-general, potential background BN also studied in detail to ensure that they are chosen by the people.
   
"We want the candidates contesting are they required people, not the party or the individuals within the party. We want a candidate who people think he can represent the people," he said.
   
About the new face of female candidates contesting in the 13th General Elections, Tengku Adnan said "the secret party".
   
Recently, Chairman of the Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel MACC Datuk Johan Jaafar recommend that all political parties will submit the list of candidates contesting in the 13th general election to be vetted by the MACC.
   
The proposal is to ensure that candidates contesting 'clean' of corruption and avoid any accusation unfounded on any individual or party behind the candidate.
   
At the same event, Tengku Adnan, who is also Member of Parliament for Putrajaya said he and Putrajaya Corporation (RPM) will continue to mobilize energy to provide for giving comfort to the residents.
   
"I also apologize to the people here if there are errors overlooked or forgotten anything I should do for them, but could not do it.
   
"I also remind them to be an example to the community because Putrajaya is a sustainable city," he said.
